If relevant Bieksa is allowed to punch Irrelevant Ferkland 5 times in the face after a whistle Ferlkand can do what ever he wants during game play

Even if it was a regular season game, I still don't see a problem with it. As other posters have said, it could also be viewed as insulting if Ferland dumps it into the corner. Non issue.

As if Burrows or Dorsett wouldn't have done the exact same thing...

He should have scored it, autographed it, and given it to Kevin.

Heard the 1040 broadcasters saying this.
Stupid broadcasters are stupid.
Bitter broadcasters are bitter.
Maybe if it was 11-4.

Score that goal everytime. Just keep the celebration down and head back to the bench.

If the Canucks didn't want that second empty netter, Miller should have stayed in the net. All empty netters should be taken advantage of no matter how many seconds or what the score is. This isn't PEEWEE hockey.

I hate that this was even brought up. So often people are quick to be a white knight or politically correct because of someone's feelings. These are professional athletes playing a sport where the whole point of the game is to score more goals than the other team. Ferland did nothing wrong. I'd have been upset with him if he had dumped it in the corner.
In the NFL some "fans" get so mad when one team runs up the score instead of kneeling down with 15 minutes left. I'd be more embarrassed if they stopped scoring if I was on the losing team. In any sport if you don't want the other team to score, then stop them.

He didn't celebrate. Treated it just like business. Nothing to see here.

I know it's been mentioned, but I also truly believe that it would have been more disrespectful of him to not score that goal.

You always score given the chance. I know back in the day hockey players did not like to run up the score. Even if the game was 11-0, you still try to score. I'm sure the Vancouver players were payed to play.

WTF is this even an issue? Canucks can use it as their motivation video anytime they want. I think they can show a video on how they blew the 3-0 lead and lost as motivation for next season. They can show how their defensemen stunk the joint during the game especially the one that shows Matt Stajan had a time in his life trying to shoot the puck for GWG. There was noone who even tried stopping Stajan. Edler trying to be a goaltender when Miller was behind him.
