Gaudreau - Monahan - Hudler
Bennett - Backlund - Byron
Ferland - Stajan - Jones
Bollig - Granlund - Jooris

I'm in love with those lines. Colborne/Raymond haven't done anything to deserve ice-time, so they don't get ice-time.

I'm starting to feel anxious and worried about every single little thing and I feel butterflies creeping in.

Playoff hockey baby! What a year.

I agree with Raymond, but I think Colborne can play an important role for us, especially in tigther-checking playoff hockey.
He's great at getting the puck deep, and keeping it deep. He's strong enough to fight off most checkers, and has the reach to grab errant pucks.
He's not putting up many points, and I don't think he ever will, but if he can get in to the offensive zone and wear defense out while generating momentum with good shifts, it's worth it to have him in the line-up.

I agree, but I would swap Jooris with Byron. However, I'm not a Stanley Cup champion/Jack Adams nominated coach, so what do I know?

I don't think there's any reason to think Monahan is hurt or won't play in the first game.

It could be a multitude of benign things that made Mony leave early. Maybe Coach just wanted to test the other guys on PP & PK since he knows Mony is obviously the #1 man.

If Byron is playing I want him with Stajan and Jones - one of our lines needs to shut down the Sedins whereas the other 3 are de facto scoring lines.

I'm super worried about Monahan. Hopefully he just needed his skates sharpened or something. It would be a massive loss if he's out of the lineup for any length of time.

I'd play him over Bollig but that's about it... for such a big guy he spends agonizingly little time in front of the net where it (his size) could be put to greater use.

I noticed in the pgt after the flames beat LA there was a gif of the team celebrating or a video from AC and in the middle of the celebration Monahan kind of slumped over like he was hurt but I didn't really think mich of it I am a lottle worried now

edit: it was in the video request thread the video of the guys celebrating after the win

Amazing how important a second year, 20 year old player is huh? Well, when you draft right and bring them along right. Right Oilers? Right?

Kristen Odland @KristenOdlandCH
Hartley said that “that was their plan” to pull Monahan off the ice early. Hmm….

Pat Steinberg @Fan960Steinberg
Hartley says Monahan leaving was all part of the plan. Part of getting him rest. Going with the "everyone is a game time decision." #Flames

Bennett-Backlund-Byron!

I love this line.

So much better than Raymond-Backlund-Colborne.

Kristen Odland @KristenOdlandCH
Hartley said Joni Ortio was on the ice with Jordan Sigalet earlier this morning and it was their plan to have two goalies (Ramo and Hiller).

Pat Steinberg @Fan960Steinberg
On Ramo's potential return tomorrow, Hartley says "everyone is a game time decision". #Flames

Nah, I like putting him with Bennett-Backlund, tons of speed + veteren two-way aptitude to cover for any rookie mistakes Bennett might make.

Plus we can call them the Killer B's, I like having easy nicknames for lines.

You don't pull a guy off the ice halfway through practice for rest. When he hasn't skated in 5 days. What's half of a practice vs a full one. Something is wrong.
