I want the team that is dumb enough to trade it to us for all our castaways

I am so happy we are not discussing the Flames chances.

Toronto.

It's more interesting to have a competitive Leafs team than a crappy one. Look how much the battle of Alberta has died because of the Oilers level of suckitude. There isonly do much TV air time. It's not possible to get much more of the Leafs shoved down our throats. This will make it interesting. It may even motivate Shanahan to gut the team and turn them into a likeable bunch.

Besides, it bumps Edmonton down one slot.
Toronto getting McDavid would boost league revenue and help boost the cap as well. This would be good for us as a cap team on the rise.

Buffalo. Without a doubt they have the least talent in the league and that is the point of the draft.

I would actually love to see Toronto win depsite the fact I despise them. Having a strong Toronto team is great for the NHL and Canada hockey.

New Jersey. Said it earlier this year and still standin' by it. I think those fans (and the organization, because of money problems) would benefit tremendously.

That may go without saying regardless of who gets McDavid but seeing him dominate in a Devils jersey would be fantastic.

Self-inflicted lack of talent, they can go the way of Oilers and suck forever, that would be great.

I am rooting for Columbus Blue Jackets.

They should have a lottery to pick for every non-playoff teams for every position and none of this BS about a team can only go down by one spot. For example Buffalo, Arizona or Edmonton might end up picking in 7th or whatever. Right now even if Buffalo lose the lottery they know the consolation prize is still good with Eichel or Arizona can still get a good defenseman in Hanifin.

Does anybody remember if there was conditions on the pick that LA traded to Carolina in the Sekera deal?

Is it possible that Carolina gets McDavid with LA's pick?

Ahhh right when it's not the Flames trading guys at the deadline it's self inflicted. I guess they should have kept FA's to be and tried for 3rd last!

I'm sure after we traded Cammy last year if we hadn't unexpectedly turned the team around we would be preaching this.

We should totally reward Columbus for having their injured guys come back and being the team people expected them to be! Those bad teams should be bad FOREVER!! (Unless it's the Flames ever down there)

If the Leafs get McDavid I would have to stop watching "That's Hockey", it would be unbearable. Though it might be better than their typical leading story being a discussion on who will be the Leafs starter for the night...

Here is a question for the conspiracy theorists:

What are the teams that, if they win, the result would be considered fixed?

No. It switches to a 2016 first round pick I think since LA didn't make the playoffs.

I hope Buffalo wins the lotto, because I really want to see Eichel in Arizona in our division battling it out with Monahan, Bennett, Backlund, Jankowski, Arnold, etc for years to come.

I agree with one of the first posters. Anyone below Edmonton who is not in our division.

Those losers are the worst kind of welfare case, firesaling off vets every year for picks and patting themselves on the back for their high picks. I hope they drop to 4th, I think Strome is going 3rd and will be a beast for a long time. Hanifin will be good but defencemen are never really great for at least 4 or 5 years and their fleet of supermidget forwards will be starting to hit UFA status by then.

Buffalo and Arizona were bad this year, but Edmonton has been doing it for years, if there is such a thing as karma it should be biting them in the ass hard about now.

I don't want to see McDavid go to San Jose or LA either but anybody else is fine with me. In the east is even better.

Personally, I am fine with how the draft order looks right now. Although I can live with any Eastern team winning the lotto.

I hadn't really thought about it before but I've gotta agree, Columbus is a team I can get behind.

Edmonton and Toronto...................

LA & SJ are in the Division

Buf, Car & Arz just don't deserve to win. Shameless.

Boston & Philly could be annoying.

New Jersey cheats and makes bad decisions.

Columbus hasn't had success in the past, small market east conference team. Seems to fit just right.
