Mrazek is putting on a show again as he has stopped all 22 shots so far in his quest for a second consecutive playoff shutout.
Nyquist and Andersson scored in the second period, Detroit leads 2-0 after two periods.

Glad I picked DET. I really do think they have a conference finals left in their tank.
Stamkos is great and all but I figured most people would have learned never to write off Zetterberg and Datsyuk in the playoffs.
EDIT: Not to forget that guys like Nyquist and Abdelkader are hitting their primes too.

That 2nd goal on Bishop was Sami Salo levels of bad, good lord. Tampa is actually the better team, better puck control with more high quality scoring chances. But they have a total sieve in net while Detroit has a young goalie standing on his head

Painful to see the Joe so empty though. Understandable, but still sad.

Thank you Johnson.. thank you Palat.. my hockey pool suddenly isn't so bad! I need some Johnny, Monahan, and Wideman action tonight!

I guess a team can play hard for just a period. Still, Lightning did strike the Red Wings suddenly and quickly.

Me and two buddies are in TBay for this game. Nowhere near the Saddledome C of Red. Feels more like a regular season game. We are rocking the Flames jerseys for the game after. Bolts look like hot poo. Just no offensive pressure or flow at all.

Well said. Mrazek is the starting goaltender and is playing very well. Sheahan scored late in the first period on the power play. In the second period it was Miller time. It is 2-0 midway through the third period and it has been a physical game.

Wow, series tied 2-2, in TB and the Bolts play the stinker of the playoffs this year. Like, they might not as well have even showed up bad.

Yup TB has zero urgency to their game. That 6 on 5 with 3 minutes to go was terrible.

I think Detroit might be golfing if it wasn't for Mrazic. Now they have a chance to win their first series as an Eastern Conference team.

GO BOLTS!
Storylines for game 6:
Tampa is horrible on the road. 18-16-7 during the regular season.
Can Mrazek keep his hot play? He is on fire, with two shutouts already.
Can Stamkos deliver? Been invisible for most of the series
Tampa claims its because Detroit is a bunch of cheaters. Jon Cooper on Detroit: “The old saying is, ‘If you ain’t cheating, you ain’t trying.’ They do it to a ‘T.’"
