Crosby was invisible.. Pens were horrible, but Rangers didn't look that good either.

I think Crosby is getting frustrated with some of the players on his team... There was a shift where he was breaking up the ice and was wide open moving with speed across the red line. His defencemen (I think it was scuderi) had the puck and didn't pass it to him and instead carried it up the ice. It looked like Crosby went offside intentionally out of frustration that he didn't get the pass and the play was whistled dead. He literally cruised across the blueline watching the puck carrier come late and then turned towards the bench as the offside call was made.

Crosby showed up tonight with a 2 goal game. One was amazing. Good W for the Pens. If Crosby and Malkin can become the consistent threats they usually are, this could be a heck of a series.

Fleury was decent today too.

That was impressive penalty killing by the Penguins as the Rangers had the man advantage seven times and only scored once!

I enjoyed watching both the CBC and NBC feeds. Which feed did others watch?

Hagelin scored in the first period, Kreider scored in the second period, and the Rangers lead 2-0 in the third period. Fleury is keeping the score close.

Pens 1-0 up. Their place is nowhere near full, plenty of seats dotted about and thats just the bottom tier.

Where has Malkin gone? No points in his last 9 NHL games, would that be the longest of his career to date?

As I said elsewhere, they are missing Letang, Matta, Erhoff, Pouliot, Dupuis and Bennett. Hard for any team to sustain those sorts of losses and still compete with the best team in the league in the regular season.

Penguins tie it 1-1 with Spaling's goal late in the second period.

Pens have two of the best players in the league, and even they struggle.

It boggles my mind how some think now that Edmonton will get McDavid, they'll become relevant.

It will be a good 5 years before Edmonton become legit contenders, if ever. Penguins have to shuffle their deck, if they want to win another cup.

Crosby and Malkin make less than Toews and Kane...
