I've gone back to disliking the Oilers. E=NG. I'm glad I never posted and social media comments that can he used against me by some of my oiler friends in the future.

I had a feeling the oilers were going to do us a favor. It's all on us to clinch now. Also, props to Bachman for not folding after the center ice goal. With everything he has been through that had to be an emotional win for him.

Good job oilers!

I was looking forward to great commentary about the goal from centre. Do Flames fans need to look elsewhere for that content now?

The forum software isn't designed to have threads over a certain number of replies. The database bogs down when threads get that big, that is why it was closed. Part II will be open soon enough, relax.

And thank you Edmonton, that was an epic win last night. You're good in my books for today.

Now that the other thread had to get closed RIP
Maybe we can rename this thread back to a rightful title once the season is over.

I wholeheartedly disagree with the assertion that Edmonton is anything but No Good.

I really enjoyed the way Ebs dangled his way past defensemen last night, he has a sick set of hands. Only highly skilled players can pull off such deft stick handling in such a small space. The Oilers have a highly skilled nucleus that will be the core of a new dynasty in the NHL.

I firmly believe that MacTavish, Lowe, Howson, Nicholson, and Nelson have an unrivalled sports acumen. Shrewd management with progressive tactics has really turned that team around. Those gentlemen have already proven that they are right guys for the job, truly the architects of something special.

You forgot to mention that these guys obviously know a thing or two about winning.

Nah, this one started off way too sappy. We'll have to purge ourselves of these silly thoughts as soon as they beat Van Saturday.

The new thread should start with the Lowe, MacT press conference.

Give it a couple days folks and we'll be back to normal.

Win a game against the defending Stanley Cup champs = get sent down.

Edmonton Oilers @EdmontonOilers
The #Oilers have loaned Richard Bachman to the @okcbarons and recalled Laurent Brossoit and Curtis Hamilton on an emergency basis.

They need to bring up Brossoit to win a meaningless game to sell hope.
