Someone needs to tether Hiller to his posts, wtf was he thinking? Flames sat back far too much after Monahan's goal and seemed to play extremely timid, resulting in a much closer game than it had any right to be
Closer than anyone would have liked but they figured it out. That is a tough game to play at this juncture of the season though the Flames have won just about every game against a bad team they have played this year.
Thought Jooris, Granlund, Ferland were all outstanding once again.
Hiller was good other than the obvious blunder.
The D are starting to look very worn out. In a tough spot only being able to play 4-5 guys. Diaz injury is really tough. I expect a lot of icings on Thursday.
This is all just unbelievable. Can't believe how close they are. Some solace in Winnipeg possibly clinching before Saturday in the event that the Flames need a win in that one...

Another ugly win but the points are all that count. Hartley has to do something with the Backlund line as again it was the worst line and that's been a theme all too often of late.
Gotta hand it to Dave Tippet for managing to get this group of nobodies to at least play competitive NHL hockey. This was easily the worst roster of players I've seen all season as half of this team may not even make the Sabres lineup and their 1st line tonight would be the 4th line on most teams.
Backlund's lines just have no chemistry, they been able to cycle a bit with Raymond and Colborne, but have they had any really good chances? Not that I remember.

Raymond is such a dead weight on that line. Colborne has been fighting the puck too, but he at least shows flashes of offensive ability. I bad for Backlund, he works so hard along the boards to dig the puck out only for Raymond to whiff on it or turn it over immediately

“Let’s do this quick,” Bob Hartley on post-game press conference…so he can watch the Oilers/Kings game in the press room.
