I think the injury hit was a shot block that hit him hard just under the front right shoulder. He was in pain after taking that one tonight.

I don't think Bollig is the first option, but the way people are reacting to putting him in is ridiculous. Bollig has been fine this spring.

Also, Bouma should take blocking lessons from Russell, as Russell seems to get hurt a lot less by those pucks.

If he's out long term this would be a perfect time for the adamantium infusion.

I agree. Bennett is like a loaded weapon waiting to go off. Put him in vs. LA Kings.

If it's something with his ribs, I don't mind donating 1 or 2 of my ribs!

I doubt Bouma's back vs LA. It's probably a bruised rib. Put Bennett in. We'll be missing some energy and drive which Bennett will have plenty of

LA is playing tired these days and can be had with speed and skill, It's Bennetts time. His energy alone will drive them crazy.

He either needs the Lazarus Pool or some of Sean's moms cookies. He'll be fine after that.

Yeah me too ... in fact my son broke one two weeks ago. You can't even lift your arm. No way you play hockey.

I just watched the replay today again and this time I noticed Boom's face when he was on one knee then when he skated to the bench.

I'm not sure if getting married turned me soft or something, but holy cow I felt so bad for the guy. He is in a tremendous amount of pain, and this is Bouma we are talking about.

Poor guy. I hope for his sake, and obviously all our sakes, he isn't banged up too bad. Didn't look good though

I guess the positive sign is he was able to get to the room on his own.

Well if we win Thursday I am sure Bennett gets in against the Jets but I still think he is the player you insert if Bouma is out against LA. He doesn't need to fill his role on the second line but he is the only player we can add with game breaker potential

Dress a kid like Bennett in the biggest game of the season? Hell yes.

He's like a starving, caged tiger waiting to devour the NHL. He brings the most intensity of anyone not named Bouma in the lineup. It's a no-brainer to put him on the Stajan – Jones line as they're established veterans and can look after him.

I would be floored if Hartley throws Bennett against the Kings if he didn't against Edmonton or LA.

The only way we see Bennett, imnsho, is if we clinch tomorrow. Bennett would then get the reward in the final game of the year.

Yup and there's no treatment for it either. Sling and waiting.

I'm not too worried. Bouma is a great 3rd line player but Bennett has the potential to be a significant upgrade and is likely to at least match Bouma's play and the chances of him being significantly worse are slim in my mind.

I just worry that we put Bollig in over Bennett... Which is probably what will happen... cause reasons?

He's a starving, caged tiger who very well could cost the flames a game with an irresponsible play. Hartley will have to trust him before he gets game action in a game this important. Especially considering that, outside of a goalie, in Hartley's system there is no one more important defensively than the center
