We just traded our 2010 Terrain in on a 2015 Lincoln MKC. Expected to pay more for the insurance, instead we received $55 refund. Which seems very odd. The biggest difference is in the comprehensive $250 deductible, the Terrain was $332 and the Lincoln is $230. How can this be?

Does anyone have a home insurance company they like / would recommend?? We are currently with TD Meloche.

Our home insurance has gone up another 35% this year. We went up about 50% last year after the floods and its nearly tripled in the last say 3-5 years. We are in West Hillhurst so I understand it going up, but jesus h.

Not to mention they also give us a whopping $15K for sewer back up...for $135/yr...however we do get $1.4MM for roof water damage (ice dam etc) for $163/yr...
