Well done OP. Out of the 5ish or so posts you make per year, this is the question you ask. Now everyone's all riled up. Well done.
Deep in your heart, what do YOU think the answer is? Search your feelings and you will find the answer.

Flames (barely) hold down a playoff spot at the moment. Regardless of how you break it down that's not a bad team.

To the 30th place team guaranteeing either McDavid or Eichel? hell yes.
Too many emotional responses here.

To be fair it'd say he already is a 'great' second liner. On pace for 60 pts, a threat nearly every shift. Few players do that in their rookie seasons. I think his floor is a great second liner (if he only progresses marginally for the rest of his career) and his ceiling is, well, a 1st line 80pt+ top 10 winger.
I wouldn't trade him for anything considering how much he has excited the organization and fans. If we had to though you would want something ridiculous like a top 2 pick in this draft.

I'm not sure which question you want answered. If it's the thread title, then I guess it depends upon the return. If it's the question from the body of the OP, then I would have to wait until after the draft lottery to make the decision.

This thread is bad and you should feel bad.
And no, no team would trade McDavid, Eichel or Hanifin for Gaudreau.

I would 100% trade him for the McDavid or Eichel pick. Pretty hypothetical question though

I'd trade Gaudreau for McDavid, but no team that gets the 1st pick would ever agree.
I'd even get greedy and ask for McDavid + cause if you're going to get ridiculous, you might as well go full ridiculous.

I agree with some on here, why trade a young impact player for the chance at one. I guess it depends on what the return is.
If we could get Seth Jones or Aaron Ekblad for example, I would trade him straight up.

Nobody is untradeable, man.
And yeah I'd move him for a top 3 pick this year.
