I feel a lot better about this road trip since we'll have some youth injected into it.

This trip is a good time to call up players from Adirondack, with the Flames being so close by. Bring these guys in to train and hopefully play with the NHL team, then they can get back to Adirondack easily

Awesome!
I was pulling for Poirier to make it out of camp this year, but with his injuries I thought I would have to wait until next season!

I think Drury18 deserves some of the credit (for Ferland).
Really want to see Poirier get some games in to see where he's at.

Once GlenX gets traded and I assume we don't get another FWD as a return, I hope our lines look like this:
Gaudreau-Monahan-Hudler
Bouma-Backlund-Jones
Poirier-Colborne-Jooris
Raymond-Granlund-Ferland

Interesting. The AHL followers were saying that Ferland has been pretty bad lately until the games this weekend. If 2 goals in 2 games can get you a recall, why not Sven's hatty? In any case, I like the size injection of two 6'2" wingers.
Very interested to see Poirier at the NHL level. According to Brad, has NHL shot and speed. And NHL size. Anything he's lacking? Vision? Passing? Positioning?
Wouldn't mind seeing Jooris sat to find out. With Colborne back to center, seems likely.

Quick question to our Adirondack faithful though, how has Ferland been doing? Isn't he not playing as well as he was earlier this season? Isn't someone like Shore better to call up?
Or is it this...
Ferland's a LW, Poirier's a RW, Stajan's a C and Byron's been playing RW... is Ferland up because Glencross is about to be moved shortly?

Ferland has scored in back to back games and certainly sounds like he's playing better (but I've not watched a game in a few weeks, so can't personally comment).

Good for Poirier.
But what has Ferland done to earn a call up ahead of Beartschi, Wolf or Reinhart?

why are we putting a natural RW on the LW in Poirier?
I think I would rather see him with Bouma and Backlund, but that might be too early for that.
I would rather see this:
Gaudreau-Monahan-Hudler
Bouma-Backlund-Poirier
Jooris-Colborne-Jones
Raymond-Granlund-Ferland
But will likely have Poirier and Jones switching since he has been playing well lately.

Pretty sure that Poirier plays both LW and RW.
