I would appreciate the table being posted into each update post. I have never followed the magic number stats before so it would be cool for me to compare the newer tables to older versions to look for trends.

Isn't that one a quandary? LA, while tied with us is almost guaranteed to continue their push and make it into a playoff spot, while Winnipeg is ahead by a few points, but has a mediocre lineup comparatively and would probably be the more likely opponent to knock out of a playoff spot.

Does the first team to clinch a playoff spot in each conference set the 'floor' in terms of points to make the playoffs?

Not usually, the 9th placed team will still have around 100 max points still when the first team clinches

Of the Flames last 17 games, only 6 of those are against teams currently in a playoff spot.
