Because it's a weekday game I can watch.
Seriously probably has to do with national tv rights, and being able to show an early game followed by a late game (although SN1 didn't have a game on before this, so really it shouldn't be a problem, but it's probably a blanket policy thing).

Is it just my bad memory, or did games used to start at six when I was a kid? For the life of me, I can't think of a reason other than the nightly news as to why that changed. And how old do you have to be to watch the six o'clock news still?

I think the thread is quiet BC this game is a bit quiet. I hope they come out with a bit more tempo than the Sharks.
Like someone else said, I'll take period like that any day. My money is on the flames if it stays 0-0 after two.
