I've been having so much fun watching the flames as of late. What a convincing win, and all around fun game to watch.

Nice to finally win a game that doesn't involve multiple-goal comebacks in the 3rd. Not that that isn't exciting, but its nice to see the team assert their dominance for a change.

Winnipeg is starting to show their true colours. Bubble team at best.

Wasn't it somebody's bday today in the GDT? They were turning 25 and predicted a flames 5-2 win?

Thanks to young kids, and getting them to bed in the evenings, I've missed a lot of first and second periods compared to third periods. I pretty much believe that the Flames are the best team in the NHL at this point.

This was a huge win for the boys! Winnipeg is a strong physical team and we were toe to toe with them the whole way and got/deserved the outcome we wanted!
GO FLAMES!!!

Gio gets one assist and still wins the helmet because the team wants to celebrate his 500th game. This. Team.

And, Oilers are up 3-1. Could they help the Flames out?

Don't know if Hutchinson is falling back to earth or just in a slump, but goaltending looks to be the big issue with the Jets.

I'm just not getting this narrative that the Jets are so big and strong. The broadcast was really pushing it hard but... I've seen the games against LA and Anaheim. They make Winnipeg's team seem soft in comparison.

The Good: A really solid game by Hiller. Also great to see so many of our young players on late in the third.

The Bad: I thought Wideman really struggled on his first passes. Icing's and giveaways nearly every time he got it in the corner with any sort of pressure on him.

The Ugly: - The Jets forward depth. After the first line was there any Jets line that had any sustained pressure?

Overall I thought this was one of the strongest games of the season. Was great to see the Flames meet the Jets physicality and exceed it. If the Flames can play this way down the stretch they should have no problem being second or third in the pacific come playoff time.

Someone also needs to post the Monahan and JG GIF as Batman and Robin in honor of the empty netter.

Bring on the Sharks!

With the win the Flames move past Vancouver and are 1 point back of the Sharks for second in the division.

Edit: temporarily of course, as the sharks are playing the oilers

They take a ton of idiotic penalties, but Maurice likes it because they're big and tough!

Great game for the Flames!
