Why on earth did we call up Wolf and Sven to have them sit when they could be playing in the AHL...
Because you need extra guys in case of injury. That's why there aren't just 18 players on the roster. It's not a bad thing to call them up even if they don't play because:
A. They couldn't have been playing in the NHL until tomorrow because there were no games.
B. They get to practice with the big kids.
C. They get paid big kid salaries.
D. It's a reward for decent play, and who knows, they might get a shot. through injury or coaches decision. Which they won't if they aren't here.
Really hope we see Wolf draw in for Bollig and Baertschi in for Raymond tomorrow.
Especially after Wolf's comments during the training camp:
“If we play one day, it’s going to be — of course — no friends,” said Wolf. “Especially against Edmonton. I’m trying to play for the Flames right now. If I’m going to play one day against Edmonton, it’s not going to be friendly.”
I am literally praying to a higher power right now that we can see The Wolf in against Edmonton

And is Drew Shore ****ing bricks right now? Amazing how quickly this guy went from NHL ready 3rd line centre we're gonna give him the Colborne special - to healthy scratch and swept away back to Adirondack. Is it possible this trade was fairly equal and he's no better than Knight?

Also, it's my dream to see Wolf crunch either (or all) of Hall, Nugent-Hopkins, Eberle, Yakupov, or Ference someday.

It's probably more so having him waiver eligible after he played his next game.
Either we would need to ship a body out and let him take over a roster spot or have another big ern situation on our hands.
Maybe Hartley is going to pull another troll job like the one in Vancouver.
Convinces the Oilers that Wolf isn't playing and they get a false sense of security. Then during warm-ups there is Wolf, standing on the red line in full gear, smiling and waiving to all Oilers as they skate by to warm up.

Doubt it. His competition is Granlund, or maybe Poirier on RW, not Wolf or Sven. And the reason he was scratched and sent down was purely contractual.

Starting lineup: Bollig, Wolf, secret callup McGrattan, Engelland and Gio (I guess).

That would be brilliant except trolling the Oilers is like kicking puppies.
Sure, you can do it, but its kind of mean.

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.
Especially after Wolf's comments during the training camp:“If we play one day, it’s going to be — of course — no friends,” said Wolf. “Especially against Edmonton. I’m trying to play for the Flames right now. If I’m going to play one day against Edmonton, it’s not going to be friendly.”
I just had a mental image of Wolf finally being unleashed after waiting so long.
NSFW: Language.
I believe Treliving insinuated that the excess call-ups were made due to the uncertainty of the weather in the NE and if they needed someone and couldn't get them, it would be a bad thing.
I really want to see Wolf in the line-up against the losers to run ferrance and smash his stupid face in.
Wolf should be in the game for this reason alone. I know the thing with Stempniak happened last season but it's still fresh in my mind. Please Hartley, release the Son of Manfred, release the Wolf.
Our perfect chance to play these young guns is against the oilers! Glenny could be back anytime and we would have to send one of them down! The past 2 games made sense for them to understand the system but now is perfect!
