Well, at least he got to play a few games on a line with Malkin, and scored an assist against the Oilers. Good for him to get to keep a positive memory from his brief career.

I think we lost the use of him in the playoffs.
This is not a concern for the Edmonton Oilers.

That's what four different jerseys before the 3/4 mark of the season? Impressive.

Consistently getting claimed rather than clearing shows that hes serviceable.

Serviceable and disposable. He will need to stick with someone eventually as he's going to run out of teams at this rate lol.

I have no worries. He'll work with Sean Burke to become the best goalie ever!

The Greasers should pick him up again just for kicks.

that "poor guy" shouldn't even be in the NHL ... so I'm sure he's happy to be collecting a cheque.

I don't think Edmonton can claim him because they put him on waivers already. Nothing to do with the CBA or league rules or anything, more of a "charter of human rights" thing as he was finally set free of that franchise and bringing him back would be considered some form of cruel and unusual punishment or something

What's the record for number of NHL teams in a season that a player has played at least one game for?

Apparently Arizona is specializing post-Oilers rehab projects. First Gagner, then Dubnyk. Now Arcobello. Rinse, repeat.

I remember the game we were down 3-0 against the Slick, then came back to win. Arcobello was on fire that game. I was actually impressed and thought he was playing ver hard and aggressive but smart. Hmm wonder why he can't seem to stick?

Just to answer my own question, the record for the most number NHL teams that a player had played for in one season in the NHL is 4, so Arcobello will share the title with 2 other players. The record is currently shared by Dave McLlwain in 1991/1992 (Jets, Islanders, Sabres and Leafs) and Dennis O'Brien (North Stars, Rockies, Barons and Bruins) in 1977/1978.
Several players have played for at least 3 teams in one season, including our own Raphael Diaz last year.

Hopefully he catches fire in Arizona and put up a lot of goals over the next few weeks. Then the Oilers inexplicably trades for him at the deadline, giving up a 2nd rounder.

Anyway, I'm rooting for Arcobello. I have a soft spot for most of the players lucky enough to somehow escape the Oilers.

....and he scores in his first game with Arizona! I didn't expect him to bounce around like he has, but good on him to retain some resiliency.
At the end of the day, he is still on a better team than he started on this season.
