That's some effective legislation right there.

Makes sense. If I was a player, I'd rather be in town the night before as well. I'm sure traveling game day throws everyone's schedule off.

Anyway, it seems kind of silly to fine the Flyers if the players themselves asked for it. But at the same time, it is basically an attempt to gain an unfair advantage, so justified.

Smart move. If I had the in-laws over for Christmas and have to spend Boxing day cleaning up the kids' mess, I'd want to get out of town too.

Nailed it.

That said, its stupid. The players asked to travel, sure management took the risk but this is still stupid Union BS.

I'm just glad that it's less than the fine the Kings had to pay for the Voynov situation. That was a much more severe infraction IMO. Ed Snider will probably laugh about having to pay 50k, that's nothing.

Very true. That Voynov situation deserved slap to the face. I dont know what they were thinking on that one.

I don't know if getting into Nashville the night before is an advantage.

Though for the same reasons, I could see why the players wanted to do it. Especially since they only get to go there once a year.
