Darren Dreger @DarrenDreger
Heatley, Paarjarvi-Svensson, Pinizzotto & Hackett clear waivers.

Now does Heatley feel terrible since even the Oilers passed on him? Based on my logic, since the greasers passed on Heatley, obviously he is no good. Therefore, the oilers should trade for him as he suits their team.

They probably didn't want to waste one of their 50 contracts on him.

I noticed that. Of course Dany "The All-Star" Heatley would own that shirt.

Heater seems like a good example of why pro sports were better when players didn't get paid as much and stayed hungry their whole careers.

@latimespugmire: Ducks send Heatley to Norfolk and he will report.

I think one of the issues with Heatley was that he was too hungry late in his career....ummm breakfast sammies.

He gets paid the same in Norfolk as he does in ANA or anywhere else, and probably with some more conditioning and this knocking him down a peg having to ride buses, he'll be motivated and back at some point this year, somewhere.

And as a Calgary kid, refusing vehemently to get traded to the Oilers in 2009, he has my respect in that regard.

Not even that. Publicly shaming the Oilers who were on his porch begging for the privilege to throw money at him!

Meatloaf = Kevin Lowe

Tyler Durden = Dany Heatley

Except Heatley never lets him in.

Say what you will about Heatley, he isnt no good, he isnt much good anymore but he used to be pretty good and at the end of the day hes from Calgary and just knows better.

Actually he gets paid more in Norfolk... players in the AHL don't play escrow fees like players in the NHL do.

Flames should take him for a 1st and 2nd in 2015 and then assign him to kitchen duty. Can they do that? I bet he makes a mean grilled cheese sandwich.

He can wear a clever apron too, as is his style, apparently.

Since we're talking about food I guess he loves his donairs. Four signed jerseys in the Shawnessy Donair Shop that has him proclaiming the best donairs in the world.

They are pretty yummy.
