Flames being heavily outshot 26-13. This hasn't been one of our better games. Chances are coming in almost lucky spurts rather then because of controlled play.

Flames getting stuck in their own zone and just not able to get the chances in Utica's zone right now.

And so many stoppages and faceoffs. The game is just dragging right now. Play for 15 seconds, we get a whistle and faceoff that takes another 20 seconds because the refs are being sticklers about setup.

Wolf and Hanowski race into the Comets zone and Wolf takes the shot with Hanowski waiting for the rebound but Markstrom makes the save.

Less then 2 minutes left and the faceoff is in the Flames zone. Ortio can't get out of his net.

Ortio tries to leave but the Flames turn it over and he's forced to make a save about 5 feet out of his net.

Flames on a 3 game losing streak and it only gets harder for them now as they play tomorrow and then an afternoon game on Sunday.

The schedule is really trying to end December/start January. They have 9 games in 15 days.

According to the Flames PBP, the goal that was called off was actually 3 inches from the goal line. That's why it wasn't a goal.

But yea, explains our luck with Utica. We hit 3 posts in the last game, then we are 3 inches from the line to score a game tying goal.
