[PGT] Rangers 5 - Flames 2 - bad times

Obviously a huge set back for our playoff chances and I'm sure some of us are recalibrating our expectations of this team.

We are nowhere near as bad as the team we saw tonight. I trust Hartley is doing and saying the right things and management is not panicking - there is a long term plan and I'm sure it's being followed.

After we pull out out of this we'll see what the team really is.

He has a hell of a lot more than a cute quote each game. He's actually a very great coach to listen to as a fan. Very direct and open about the process.

Woah woah woah pump the break pad... Scoring a goal on the power play when down 5-1 with a minute left absolutely does NOT make up for an otherwise lackadaisical effort.

There is a handful of players struggling right now forsure, but how some fans continue to defend Curtis Glencross is beyond me. He is an assistant captain on this team. He needs to lead by example and right now he's relatively invisible.

Some bad goals against tonight that never should've happened. Besides that I think we would've been right in it again. The consistency will improve as the team matures.

vs SJ: 55.3
at TOR: 60.4
at BUF: 62.1
at PITT: 43.1
at CHI: 34.3
vs NYR: 62.7

So over the last 5 games (tonight hasn't been counted yet), Flames are 11th in the league at 51.6%, with a PDO of 95, good for 26th in the league. Ya, we've been doing the exact opposite of what we did when we were winning. Positive spin is that we haven't been really outplayed this losing streak, it's not like the Flames are suddenly playing like an AHL team compared to when we were winning.

Glencross brings 10X the skill/effort that Byron could ever dream of.

Is it going to take 20+ games pointless before fans realize Byron is a useless small body in our lineup...
