Panic sets in and it means the sky is falling according to some CP poster. Every team in the NHL goes through a slump so I don't see how the Flames are any different. It sucks that the Flames lost 6 points in the last 3 games but it is not end of the world. They'll be back winning again and people are going to be happy again and even pronounce how they love this team.

What were the shots, 45-19 last night? The Sabres should not be able to pot 4 on 19 shots. That's terrible. Teams are doing to us what we did to teams early on. It's like the tables have been reversed.

Worrisome but things have a funny way of working. Just as I wouldn't be surprised to see us lose out the trip, I also wouldn't be surprised to see 3 points in these two games, despite being the most difficult of the trip.

You can never assume games are going to go any which way based on the opposition.

In order of relevance my choice are- D,B,C,A.

Unfortunately, this is just the opportunity some media(and stats) guys were waiting for to bash the Flames. I just hope neither the management nor the fan base over react to a stretch consisting more of bad bounces than bad games.

Ultimately to start the season the Flames won some games they shouldn't have, and now it balances out. Also, we got really spoiled by the way the Flames played before this skid. They played disciplined, rarely missed their assignments, and managed to push in waves. Has anything changed in those 3 games? not really, but the communication on the defensive side could use a tune up.

Finally, I realise it is much more pleasant to win games we shouldn't have, and not the other way around; but it is way, way too early to start looking for goats to blame.

This early in the season and already on a three game losing streak?

Treleving should be scheduling a press conference.

Visually, they don't look so bad.

Brad has only been here for 5 months and trades are hard.

Perhaps the messaging has gone awry.

Oh wait...only second year of the rebuild.

Of course the flames need to snap out of this losing skid quick (hopefully tonight) but I honestly don't believe this losing steak means anything... The team has played well in all three of the losses and arguable deserved to win all three games based on how well they played. Just haven't gotten that one or two game-saving saves from the goaltenders lately.

Without exception, every team in the NHL this season has gone through a stretch like this at least once this season. The flames are just the last team in the league to go through it. Which is a good thing. Teams that are gaining ground on the flames over this skid will go through a stretch like this as well. And I believe the flames will get on a hot streak again pretty soon and the gap could widen again. It will be a tight race for a playoff spot in the west all season but the flames have put themselves in a good position to be in that race.
