I had my first "legal" drink there after turning 18, so I have a bit of sentimental attachment to it. Plus I like the Irish Rovers and still feel that finding "Tall Ships and Salty Dogs" in my Dad's record collection was an important moment in my development.
But I went there a few years ago and had the fish and chips. The first bite actually tasted like dirt (probably from mould of some kind),and the server just said "I'm not surprised" and took it off of my bill.
Still sad to see it go, even though I wasn't really in a hurry to go back anyway.
