End of 2nd Period
0-1 Marlies
Shots on Goal: 16-17 Marlies
More discussions after the whistle. Wouldn't be surprised if something boils over in the 3rd.
Also, looks like the boys are in a turkey coma. Maybe no one told them Thanksgiving is tomorrow

Pascall's responsibilities as AGM is to oversee day to day operations of AHL Flames. Talks to coaches couple times a day when he's not in ADK. Lots of communication between NHL Flames and AHL Flames. He oversees the amateur scouting and prospects as well. In constant contact with Conroy and Burke about the AHL Flames.
Loves seeing the AHL Flames guys coming up and sticking with the team. Fortunate for the players and great feeling for management and development people. They take focus of development serious and the aspect of that here is to turn the players here pro. Pleased with depth, pleased with Jooris and making impact.
Talked to Knight a few times as they are both North Dakota alum. Great thrill to see him called up.
Really happy with Huska, Gill and Guthro. Doing a great job developing players. He's watched all games and seen them getting better and better and seeing improvement both on ice and off ice training.
Goal is to make AHL to NHL transition seemless. Wants the same game played in NHL played in AHL so guys can fit in easily. They intergrated the coaching staff, Huska talks to Hartley daily. Hartley providing guidance in drills, plays and systems. Sharing idea's and sharing information.
Front office of the NHL Flames is thrilled to see how well the NHL team is doing. Coaching staff deserves credit and Treliving's plan is going well. Work ethic and play has been great. Wideman, Brodie, Gio have played great. Goaltending is very good and keeping them in games. Only a quarter way through the season and all teams should get better and NHL Flames should be one of them.

Whatever Huska said in the 2nd intermission seems to have woken the guys up. This looks much more like the Flames we are used to.

The crowd might be small, but they are making a good amount of noise cheering the Flames on.
Flames did have control early in the 3rd but Marlies have taken back the game.

Interesting how the pbp guy pronounces Poirier.
I - and everyone I know - say Poor-ee-eh
But he says Poy-eh
Based on my very limited French, I am pretty sure he is right. But I hadn't heard it pronounced like that before.

Marlies goaltender is swinging at Wolf. Wolf didn't bump him (that I could see) but Gibson wanted to fight him.

The way I know how to say his name (which is "Pear Tree" in French) is "Pwah-et (soft t sound)-eh".
