His second shot on the 1st, with nothing more than a 7 or 8 iron, says a lot. They showed him on the range yesterday with a pro tracer for about a half hour and every shot was a perfect baby draw or baby fade. Then from a perfect lie on the first hole he hits it way off to the right. I know the weekend golfer has trouble taking it from the range to the course, but this happening to Tiger suggests it is completely between his ears.

His body language is very poor right now. He simply does not look like he wants to be there. He could be end up behind a 15-year old on the leaderboard. He's tapped out mentally.

I like that Fox uses the pro tracer a lot. Was basically never shown at the Master's- not sure if that is a CBS decision or Augusta being traditional and not really allowing it. Some might liken it to the glowing hockey puck, but I disagree. Like it to be used on at least half the shots.

The asterisk next to the hole number is annoying but the coverage is good. Also more focus on the golfers doing well. A lot less Tiger focused.
Of course, they showed him as I typed that.

Why is the asterisk next to the hole number annoying? it means they started on the 10th.

Because I didn't know or forgot what it meant.

Tiger needs to retire. He just doesn't have the ability to compete anymore. He is physically and mentally done.

Tiger's round of 84 a couple weeks ago might still end up being his worst score ever on tour, but this is the US Open on prime time tv with virtually every one of his shots televized. Has to be the lowest point of his career.

Brutal shot on 18 for Tiger. That was ugly.

Don't think I've ever seen him top a ball that bad before. He is completely broken.

Feels like Tiger shot 100, not 80. That was sad to watch.

Gotta give Tiger huge props, showed up for the post-round press conference and had a pretty good sense of humor about it. Well done.

Youd have to think Fowler and Oosthuizen's awful rounds can be partially attributed to Woods. Being such a big presence, his play must bring down the entire group??

Just looked up Chambers Bay is $300 per round, no cart, so $100 for caddie, total of $400 USD per round. That's rich for a public course.

Yep, some of the most expensive green fees in the US are on public courses- pebble beach, whistling straits, torrey pines, TPC Sawgrass, Shadow Creek. Not sure if any of these courses sell memberships of any kind. The only high end courses I can think of in the Calgary area that are fully public without any type of membership option is (was) kananaskis.
