Flames are at 23 (Diaz, McGrattan and Ferland were scratched yesterday), so there has to be another roster move to make room for Max. Ferland to retroactive IR probably?

Who was complaining we didn't have enough rookies at the start of the season again?

While he is not an established NHLer, Baertschi is no longer a rookie.

Of course. A call-up but not a 'rookie'. Basically semantics as he was sent down midway through his would-be rookie campaign.

Well, that's just for calder eligibility, I think it's a an acceptable term to use for young players with limited experience.

That being said, don't think Max Reinhart is considered a rookie anymore either.

The more kids, the better we seem to play.

So bring on Reinhart. Please no more injuries, though... I mean wow, enough already.

At this rate, by January Gaudreau will be our grizzled season veteran.

One goal in 12 games? Was this call up earned?

WAS IT EARNED!

Makes you wonder what Hanowski has to do to get noticed.

Work on his speed? With the amount of forward prospects that the flames have, there are going to be guys not on the flames radar unless they really turn it up. Hanowski, Knight, agostino , ect.

the thing that amazes me most about all those injuries and call-ups is the fact that we still have a number of solid young forwards in Adirondack. Poirier of course, but also Knight, Hanowski and Agostino have been good recently. And there's also van Brabant, who co-leads the Baby Flames in goals, and Arnold, who leads all Flames forwards in assists. All of those have already seen NHL time (except for Poirier obviously, but that should only be a matter of time) and should also be ready if needed. The cupboards are well-stocked, no doubt about it. Such a great contrast to the situation we had 3 or 4 years ago!

Seems to me the call ups are generally following the reverse order of cuts from camp, no?
