If you don't get a chance to hit some of the major Conventions around the world (NY, WonderCon, SDCC, etc.) I think the Calgary one is still good to go for even for just one day.

You'll likely have the chance to change your mind and buy a ticket tomorrow (or they may even still be available at the door).

I got a day pass this year. Downgraded from a weekend pass from past years. There just isn't enough going on to warrant a full weekend. I might get Stan Lee's autograph again. And do some shopping. That's pretty much it for this year.

Well, I'm going to try and make my way down to the grounds sometime today and see if I can get my wristband early. I guess I would go the Agrium Buildng for this, as that's where admissions are this year? I will report back on my findings.

EDIT: Apparently you do get wristbands at the Agrium Building. They can be picked up today, but not until after 5 PM apparently. They can also be picked up tomorrow after 2 PM.

I think those worlds are adequately represented on the Exhibition Floor. I didn't notice any panels around those, however.

And now Stan Lee has sent news that he is unable to attend.

I'm not into comics at all, and have gone the past 3 years. It is pretty fun to people watch, and explore the booths.

Does anyone know who will be in the parade on Friday morning? Is it any good for the little ones? I was thinking of bringing my 4 year old son to check it out. Thanks.

Pffft no one cares about Stan Lee not being able to attend anymore after the bombshell announcement that Tara Reid had to drop out too.

On a more serious note, Rosario Dawson was added for Saturday.

Didn't think of kijiji to be honest but you are certainly right. A lot of discounts for VIP passes even.

Our computer tech guy said he hopes we have no problems Thursday and Friday, because every Tech in the city will be at Comic Con.

Wow! NPH!

Quote:
HUGE news everyone! (Please read this entire announcement!)
We are thrilled beyond reason to welcome one-of-a-kind performer, actor & song-n-dance man, NEIL PATRICK HARRIS for a special one-day appearance at Calgary Expo!
VERY IMPORTANT:
Neil will be signing and taking photos with guests throughout the day, in addition to speaking at his panel on Friday evening at 7:00 pm in the Corral. His schedule will be available at calgaryexpo.com shortly, and we recommend pre-ordering all photo ops. Attending the panel is free with Calgary Expo Friday and/or Four-Day Weekend Pass admission, but all tickets must be exchanged for wristbands in Agrium Admissions area before entering The Corral. TIckets for Friday are still available via CalgaryExpo.com, and will be up until 7:00pm Friday evening, but will not be available at the door/on site.
We request the highest of fives.

WTF?! How the hell did they even get a booth?

http://metronews.ca/news/calgary/134...ns-up-in-arms/

After a booth with a GamerGate logo was spotted Friday morning at the Calgary Expo fans took to Twitter, concerned about the well-being of others at the event.

The Calgary Expo organizers responded to concerns in a written statement, which highlighted their wishes to foster a safe and positive event.

“We have reason to believe that the organization in question does not fall in line with our mandate, so we have politely requested they not participate the rest of this show, or future shows,” the statement read. “As always, we’re grateful for our fans for being such an important part of our community.”

They got a booth because they misrepresented what they were there for.

OK I'm trying to understand this whole GamerGate thing, and it seems confusing. The most confusing part for me is Adam Baldwin's part in all this. It appears he coined the GamerGate name, hastag and all, but a lot of his tweets confuse me.

Anyone have the Coles Notes version of #GG?
