I suppose you're right, it is a gradual erosion of our freedoms for the sake of security, which is something that many people, myself included in many cases, are unhappy with.
In the end though, once again we have to look at the statistics. A significant percentage of large cash-only transactions are the result of crime and people attempting to evade taxes.
Tell those people to stop doing what they're doing so the rest of us dont have to answer a few questions at the teller.
