Wow - grand slam!
4 runs should be enough for Bumgarner.

Go giants... They seem like an easier matchup for my Nats!

Don't kid yourself. Don't bet against a team with Posey on it.

This could prove to be the 7th straight elimination victory for the Giants. And 8th playoff victory in a row. Their run differential in these games is enormous too.

Giants have eliminated 7 playoff opponents in a row.
Too bad for the Pirates - I would have cheered for them.

I'll bet against him.. what are the stakes??>
We have 4 pitchers as good as your best and a 5th that has owned the Giants. Plus the second highest scoring lineup in the NL (not including the Rockies, because, well, they play a different game in Denver.)

I think the Nats should be favoured for sure - I don't like the Giants chances without Pagan and Cain. Still, this team is nails in the playoffs, and have knocked off a lot of teams who looked better on "paper".
If you want to compare scoring, remember the Nats play in a small park, and the Giants in a pitchers park. Later if I time, I'd like to compare the offences on the road (removing the ball park effects).
If you look at away games, the Giants scored 340 runs, and the Nats 324. Nats had 89 HRs and the Giants 79. 329 RBIs for the Giants and 304 for the Nats. .251 avg for SF, and .237 for Nats.

I'd say the Giants offence is better (but missing Pagan is big).

I believe the Nats park would be considered neutral.

That could be - I thought home runs are cheap there, and hard to come by in SF.
Interesting though - Nats hit more HRs on the road.
Nats HRs 63/89 home/away, Giants 53/79.

Verlander pulled too soon in the 6th. Not enough Upton.
