Craig MacTavish @FakeOilersGM
Hey @NHL, while you're at it, could you do me a favour and also void Jesse Joensuu's contract?
Hey Craig, why don't you learn how to be a competent GM? What an idiot. Oh, fake account, nevermind. Sad thing is I could have seen him saying that.

So who picks Tkachev before the Oilers get a chance to in the 2015 draft?

The funny thing is Tkachev has a baby face and the NHL turned heel on MacT's signing.

Just when you thought they had found every possible way to be no good, the Oilers find another way.

Derek Van Diest @SUNdvandiest
Maybe the #Oilers can take solace knowing they helped Tkachev's draft stock rise?

That. Is. Amazing.

Especially in light of all the "Vladdy Hockey" stuff.

I think it's pure justice. All the Vladdy Hockey stuff was mocking Flames fans and Gaudreau, then this.

It's poetic.

This will be very interesting to see. Although it all depends on how Tkachev does this upcoming season.

Washington spent the season developing Nathan Walker in the AHL and then decided to draft him in the 3rd round. He may have lasted longer or not have been drafted at all, but the third round is where the Capitals decided to not risk it anymore.

Kid dodged a bullet, now he has a chance to be drafted by a real team that will actually develop him.

Well now everyone knows he's willing to sign in the NHL. Wonder if a KHL team will swoop in and sign him now.

yup. On the other hand, Tomas Hyka fell all the way to the 6th round and the Kings then decided to not sign him ... so he's playing in Europe now. Everything's possible, I guess.

I hope the kid lights it up this year and signs with a team other than the oilers next year. That would be worth years of crying and moaning from oilers fans.

NHL GMs should put rumors out there that they are high on him and willing to take him early on in the 2015 draft and see if Lowe and company panic and waste a high draft pick on Tkachev.
