Episode 79: Down To The Wire
With three games left in the regular season, and the Flames in a must-win scenario we look ahead at what the Flames have to do this week to earn a post-season invite. With Karri Ramo injured we talk about Brad Thiessen, and if Jonas Hiller can play the way the Flames need him to for the rest of the regular season. Plus, we recap the Flames Restricted and Unrestricted Free Agents, and discuss who we think the team should keep next year and who they should let go of.

Not bad, you picked Michael Ferland as the unlikely hero and I took Bennett. Best two guys for Calgary tonight bar none.
Nice.

Episode 81: Round 1...The First Three Games
In the first ever playoff edition of Fireside Chat, we break down the first three games of the series game-by-game and what the Flames have done well, and where they have come up short - and how the league is handing the officiating for this series. Sam Bennett's playoffs, as well as the surprise playoff run from Michael Ferland. As we look to game four and beyond we discuss what the Flames will have to do to win the series against the Canucks.
And after the 2015 NHL Draft Lottery, we spend a couple minutes talking about the And after the 2015 NHL Draft Lottery, we spend a couple minutes talking about the Oilers and what they're going to do with the first overall pick and Connor McDavid. Would they trade the pick? Or would McDavid pull a Lindros and not sign in Edmonton? This leads us to discussing way more about the Eric Lindros trade than any Flames podcast ever needs.

The Flames beat the Canucks and now they’re heading to Anaheim to start the semi-final round against the Anaheim Ducks. This week’s episode breaks down the last 3 games of the Flames/Canucks series and what the keys to success were for the Flames, the series MVP, and our personal experiences being part of the C of Red in the Saddledome and the Red Mile after game six. We also look ahead to the Calgary/Anaheim series and what it’ll take for the Flames to win the series against the Ducks, and our predictions for the series.

Episode 83: It Was In!
In this week’s episode we recap the first three games of the second round series, looking at the highs and lows the Flames have experienced so far. We’ll look at each of the games so far in this series, and dig deep into game three at the Saddledome. We discuss the Sam Bennett goal in Game 3 that the league disallowed and if we think it was “in” or “out”, its similarities to Gelinas’ goal in 2004 and what the league needs to improve to ensure this doesn’t happen again. We also end the show with a nod to Bob Hartley’s Jack Adams Award nomination.

Episode 84: Recapping A Surprising Season
We start the show with a look back at the second round series against the Ducks, and compare and contrast the two teams and how they are built – and why the Flames fell so easily. With the help of our guest Kevin Olenick of Agree or Disagree: The Podcast, we recap the 2014-2015 season as a whole including looking back at some of our predictions for this year to see how well we predicted the season, and we do an in-depth break down of this year’s team by position and discuss where they need to improve, and what we expect the Flames to do in the off-season including our thoughts on UFAs we’d like to see here.
There is plenty of debate this year as we dig into our final analysis of this year’s excellent Flames run.

After reading up on Svechnikov, He plays all three positions regularly and was mainly RW/C for Cape Breton this year. Just something to look up. Much like Poirier in his draft year, TSN and other lists have him LW which is not the case.

That is frustrating. I was confused with him because all the times I've viewed him he was either up the middle or on the right side, but all the sites I checked listed him as a LW so I went with that. I did only watch him a few times though so I thought I was just an exception. I adjusted that article specifically because of that.
I wish that the various sites would have more accuracy when it comes to that. It's like Merkley being listed as a center even though he's a RW.

There will be players skipped due to a lack of video. I would rather not do write ups on players if I can't show you the player as well.
The list of those that will be skipped are there.
http://www.firesidechat.ca/2015-prev...condandbeyond/
They will get articles written if proper video appears.

Episode 86: The Next Five Picks (Draft Preview 2/2)
In this episode we’ll break down our thoughts as to who the Flames may take with their three second round picks (45, 52 and 53) and their two third round picks (76 and 83).
We’ll answer many questions Flames fans have going into this draft: Are there any top 30 players who may fall far enough for us to pick them? Or any sleeper players we need to watch for? With such a deep draft, can we get a first line player at the 40-50 range?

Episode 87: Upgrading The Back End
It’s easy to sell pieces and change your team significantly in 24 hours, but it is very difficult to change your team as much for the better as the Flames did this week.
The 2015 Entry Draft is in the books and the Calgary Flames made a big splash by trading for Dougie Hamilton, and drafting both Rasmus Andersson and Oliver Kylington. We’ll discuss the Flames draft, how much they’ve upgraded the blueline – and if the Flames won or lost the trades it took to do so.
With Free Agent season around the corner we’ll also look at the RFAs the Flames qualified and didn’t qualify, and what UFAs we hope the Flames target, and who we stay away from.

We will do a UFA recap/look ahead to the development camp show next week if the Flames actually sign someone significant, otherwise we will likely push the next episode to the end of the dev camp so we can cover everything.

Episode 88: Rookie Camp Recap 2015
We spent the last week at the 2015 Flames Rookie Development Camp. We were at WinSport with the team for all four days of on-ice training this week, and were able to spend time with many of the prospects after their on-ice sessions to get their thoughts.
This week’s episode is a little bit of a different format than usual. We’ve got a daily recap of what happened each day of the camp which we recorded right after the daily on ice sessions from the Joan Snyder Arena at WinsSport – and then interviews we conducted with each player on that day.
If you want to get the full details of the Team White vs. Team Red Scrimmage, we have a Game Recap breaking down all the important stats, which you can read here.

Note: This show is almost 2 hours in length.

We only recorded about 45 minutes of stuff ourselves, and the other hour is interviews with players and Conroy.
