This is about 500 times better than Buffalo's catastrophe of an attempt at a hockey uniform of last year. To even suggest otherwise makes me wonder if you are capable of seeing colour.

What Buffalo did to 3rd jerseys last year was about as despicable an act as one could get when it comes to jerseys. They basically got together in a room and decided to collectively put out an enormous fata you to the idea of 3rd jerseys and their fans in general. The only thing possibly worse would be adding ads all over it but in some respects that might just clean them up a bit. Saying that makes me want to vomit, but it's true and I pity the fans of that team.

Buffalo is one of those teams that doesn't need to screw around with its' original uniforms. Just leave it alone because every other attempt at change has been a stabbing in the eyes. It's hilarious too because all their fans want is just the damn original jerseys and the team REFUSES to deliver. Hell the Ducks jersey with that thing crashing out of the ice or the Blues jerseys with those trumpets flying in from the waist are better and that is saying something.

Wait... sounds like another team we know very well............................ just listen to your fans and bring back the originals. Then leave it the fata alone.

Why do you hate your fans so much Buffalo?

Meh, wonder all you want, I see colour just fine. Not suggesting the Buffalo jersey is any good, but I fail to see the appeal of the Pens jersey other than for nostalgia sake. The logo is Disney cartoony, and the colour scheme looks like a black safety vest over a yellow shirt.

This is much better than the Isles or Sabres 3rds, by a significant margin.

They got the diaper effect going. But unlike the Rangers, Islanders and Blackhawks it's yellow.

The bottom line of the jersey gives a "mini tee" effect

I was hoping they do the gold and black like the one on the left here:

I really liked the road ones from the mid 90's too...I thought it was neat their away uniform was different than the home.

That jersey looks great.

More team going back to old colours/design with modern look. When will the Flames catch the memo? Even if Black C is to stay, at least go to a more traditional design.

Now, my love for the return to glory aside, I kinda wish they went down a more blue route:

If ONLY because of WHY they wear gold:
Quote:
On Jan. 30, 1980, the Penguins wore black and gold for the first time. With the Steelers winning the Super Bowl and the Pirates capturing the World Series title in the same year, the struggling Penguins hoped to gain fan support by aligning their colors with the other teams in the “City of Champions.”
IMO, it's kind of an embarrassing part of their team history. I like keeping a bit of yellow around as a nod to their past (the logo has always been yellow)
