The Flames hang in the 9-10 spot all season, at the trade deadline Burke pulls a blockbuster out of his butt by relieving a team of some salary that needs the cap space. Our rental player will give us the little push we need, and the Flames shock everyone by sneaking into the playoffs, and make it to the Semi's only to be eliminated by Chicago in 6.

Toronto miraculously goes 3-22 to finish the season falling from 2nd in the East to 10th. Dion blames it on a faulty ghetto blaster in the Toronto locker room.

Vancouver continues to kick dogs in elevators, and burn down their home town in classic "me-too" Vancouverite fashion. One shining spot is the commemorative banner they hang in GM Place proclaiming the "Totally most authentic Winter Classic ever... no really the snow was totally real.. it was... stop laughing."

Edmonton remains no good and prepares for their Lottomax pick.

Probably going to take three to four years for all of the young talent to develop and filter into the team. Going to take a year to find their groove and find a playoff spot. Seems like 2017-18 is a good target, but I think they need to come close once before breaking in. 2018-19, or just in time for the new arena.

Oh Yeah red koolaid is good.
Despite the sarcastic tone of this post, this is exactly what happened... Except for the Adirondack winning part.

64+1. I guess Gaudreau and Poirier managed to replace Cammy.

I'm going with 2017-18, current team isn't built to survive 82 games well above .500
