My question didn't get answered. I'm wondering, dissentower, how long have you been a police officer?

My question is well intended. I've seen posts from you where you say you aren't a police officer and I've seen posts where you say that you are. My curiosity is getting the better of me I guess. No worries if you don't want to answer.

Ok, well I am in my 2nd year if you really want to know. I have also owned my own bar, been a bouncer, and bred reptiles and spiders.

Thanks man. It is awesome that they accept guys that have a lot of life experience like you've had. You probably have a different perspective then if you'd gone into it when you were young. Good on ya.

That is a big thing they look for, life experience. I am just another guy though and this message board allows me to say things I wouldn't while doing my job, I can just be silly at times or say the odd controversial thing. I don't want to be a cop on CP, I just want to be another poster who makes good posts and what some would consider stupid posts. Some people must think police officers live 24/7 by some higher morale ground and maybe that is true for a few, most I know including myself are much different away from the job. I think one of those previous posts accused me of being immature, I can sure act like it at times on my own time but I think that is a good thing. I think I would go crazy wearing the serious cop persona all the time. Even then, I tend to have a pretty easy going side on the job. I am not a hard ass at all. My coach officer was, that first year was not the most enjoyable.
