Of the 51 guys drafted #50-100 8 guys have 100+ NHL games, another 3 have 40+ NHL games and then there is a group of 11 also-rans that have 16-37 NHL games. 4 guys have less than 6 NHL games and other 25 have 0 NHL games.

Right now, just based on the fact that Hickey was just drafted in the 50-100 calculated long-shot range likely to turn pro there is a greater than 50% chance that Hickey will not make it to the point that Hankowski has made it.

Using your system out of the 60% allocated to potential Hickey along with Hunter Smith (and no further development since he was drafted) , based on draft position should get say only 15 out of 60...
Pretty sure, you missed C4L's point. It isn't really about a mathematical determination of which prospect is better. If you think Hanowski is better, great, but he (and I agree with this point of view) would argue that Hickey has a greater skill set to make an impact at the NHL. Doesn't really matter at this point if Hanowski has played 6 games for a terrible Flames squad.

with the data in so far on Hickey... His mathematically expected top end would be to play in the AHL.

This will change if he has a solid development year.

Hanowski has achieved top 6 status in the AHL he had 25 pts in his first 33 AHL games and then had a 12 game scoreless streak.

His AHL numbers match up pretty well with Baertschi's who had 26 pts in his first 32 AHL games

Hanowski is a few years older than Baertschi though, can't really compare them. This is a big year for Ben, and he'll be in tough to even be in the top 6 in Addy. He is in jeopardy of being passed by several other prospects this year, he'll need a monster year to earn another contract IMO. It might be best to give him a chance somewhere else there is just too much bottom 6 depth in Calgary for him to get much of a chance with the big club any time soon and there's too much depth in Addy for him to really show what he can do.

Yeah, Hanowski is best to be given a situation similar to Cundari's last season and be moved to a team that can provide him ice time.

Street and B. Jones and Locke and one of Granlund/Rienhart/Knight graduating

4 top players moved

Poirer, Ferland, Agostino, Arnold added.

This year the table is set for Hanowski to step up in the organization.

top 4 in Abbottsford:

Granlund, Rienhart, Baertschi, Ferland, Knight (one will be with the Flames) and then

Hanowski, Agositino, Arnold, Wolf and Van Brabant and maybe with Hanowski having the inside track because he already has put in a solid first year as a pro.

True it is a big year for Hanowski but it is also a huge year for all these guys.... they all have to improve or they will fall behind.

I actually worked on a lengthy response to your response.. But I just decided to go with this:

NOTHING in your post has ANY relevance to my post. Did you misquote another poster? It seems you missed the point completely in every facet if you didn't. I think you just got caught skimming.
