That is kind of what i figured but its a frustrating customer experience. its like payment processing roulette. Should i try for the tap first and hope to get a speedy and convenient checkout or should i just start with the insert chip because i know that i have a 50% chance of ending up there anyway.

Because their relationship is falling apart but they need to put out a face that says "Everything is SOOOOOO good here, no problems! Nope!"

Either that or they are shallow people starved for attention.

At the 7-11 by my house my first few attempts at tapping to pay for a jug of milk froze the whole system and I had to wait about 5 minutes for a reboot. The opposite of what I was trying to achieve by tapping. Now it doesn't reboot, it just doesn't work at all. Apparently unless you have an RBC card. Wuwt?

Speaking of Facebook.

WUW videos posted on FB (not youtube videos) that start automatically playing, is this a new type of annoyance?

Yes - it's ridiculous. But you can turn it off on your cell phone at least. I have an iphone and it's under Settings / Facebook / Settings / Auto Play off.

I have not figured out how to disable it on my computer. So if anyone knows that....

Whats up with Indian neighbours where the females wear the sari?

In meeting these women is a male supposed to shake their hand? I've met two of them and it was awkward because I don't know what is acceptable. What to do in this situation?

You shake their hands or greet them as you would any female stranger. They're just women wearing fancy traditional clothes. Nothing more.
