Patterson was sandpaper (unofficially) before Yelle was, only bigger and more effective. Yelle was great, but I suspect most of his votes come from a fan base too young to remember the significant contributions of Patter.
On top of this, an A++ in the dressing room and community. A real glue guy. The effect of his departure, due to injury and then a trade, is very underrated.
