Okay, I see why you came to that. I still think it's quite a stretch, but I haven't seen any numbers broken down on this.

That's ridiculous. More than half the players selected in the third round of every NHL entry draft will never play a game at the NHL level. I am willing to bet that Kanzig plays at least a game this year or next, and if that is the case, then he has already beaten the odds. In any event, history shows that practically every third-round pick is a long "gamble".

I'd be pleasantly surprised if Kanzig gets in any NHL games in the next two seasons.

The organisation is really high on him. I think he will get some playing time.

They're high on him, but I don't think there is any rush to get him NHL ice time. I suspect another season in the CHL, then a season in the AHL before he is looked upon as a NHL call up.
