Excellent news. Just the type of player I was hoping to see the Flames grab in FA. Top line guys get far over paid today. Solid third liner with tons of speed that can score. Excellent asset for this team.

At least term is okay.

Don't even concern yourself with dollars right now. Not only can we afford to overpay, we pretty much have to to reach the cap floor. Term is what matters, and I can handle three years.

"Who cares about the money" is not a reasonable way to run a hockey club.
I mean he was a great signing for Toronto last year but that was when he cost a million bucks. Even if it was 2ish it would have been good. 3.5? This is an overpay by a fairly significant margin.

Meh. He's fast a all heck, but I'd rather have Vrbata, unless they can sign both of them.

If he can stay healthy this is a pretty decent pick up. At least he already knows how to play in the West, so that's an advantage in itself.

I'll take that, although I do question losing a right winger and signing a left winger.

Interesting. Mason Raymond brings the velocity, Wolf and Bollig the truculence.

He like a taller Byron with more NHL experience. I'll take it. Can he play RW?

I like this deal, fairly cheap and not too long term.

At this point, who cares how much money he signs for. Flames are struggling just to get to the cap floor. Like the signing. Both money and term are decent.

Younger Cammalleri replacement. He's not as skilled as Cammy, but he's not as small either.
I'm not over the moon on this, but I don't mind it either.

Like his speed and term is good. Money is great if he can pot 20. Doesn't play big though.
How many lw do the flames need? Sven had little chance of making team and now gets harder.
Wonder if flames are trading a lw?

1. Takes a spot over Gaudreau, Reinhart, Baertschi
2. Another LW
3. Weak
4. Doesn't pass or dump the puck in.
I hate Mason Raymond

guys how is that a lot of money? 3.2m is not a lot of money for a guy who scored 19 goals and 45 points last season. I'd say that's a fair deal, especially given that it's a UFA signing.

I'm ok with this deal. Reasonable contract and term. Too bad he's a LWer and not a RWer though. Can he play the off wing?

Good deal. Was pretty solid on the PK for the Leafs last year. Great speed.
