Must be enjoying the lowered drinking age.

All of these guys seemed down to earth. I have close buddies with Joe and I only have great things to say about the guy.

I've met Brodie a few times in my elevator when he lived in the same building. Totally nice and quiet. Always wears a bluejays hat

I saw all of the guys (including Hartley/Feaster) on a flight to YEG a couple years back, shortly after the Iggy and Bouw trades. Cammy signed my jersey. Hudler made fun of me for wanting a signed Cammy jersey, and said I had bad taste.
Said hi to Glenny at Market Mall a few years back. Poor dude was on stroller duty with the wife. The earth-shattering words he uttered to me that day still resonate: "How's it going?".
Spotted McGrattan at the airport years ago during his first stint here. He was glaring at one of the arrivals screens like he wished to kill it.
Saw Steinberg picking up some condoms and root beer at the grocery store.

Thanks for the stories guys, this stuff is really fun to read. If possible tell the story rather than just list the names... still cool either way.
I think if I could meet anyone right now on the team it'd actually be Westgarth (even though he may be going). He just seems like such a good, honest person, I'd love to have a chat about him and his life.

If there's one constant I've seen in every one of these threads that have popped up over the years on CP, it's that Mike Vernon is an ass to almost everyone, lol.

I played hockey with Theo Fleury's kid so Theo was around all the time. Really nice guy, skated with us in practice a few times. He was too lazy to tie up his skates so he'd skate around with them all the way undone skating circles around everyone. He deked out my dad pretending he was going to crash into him and made him fall right on his ass much to the entertainment of everyone.

I live in Toronto so not too many Flames but I did meet Giordano outside a Timmies. He was smoking and just spoke for a minute or two. Very nice.
Meet a lot of Jays players as a photographer sitting courtside at the ACC

Not flames related but I saw Kesler at the Avicii concert down in Vegas at the x/s club in encore hotel this past Friday. Guy got me in trouble with the bouncer for taking a picture of him... Haha.
I didn't get kicked out but thought it was funny.

I was at Costco in Beacon Hill yesterday and saw Keegan Kanzig, Pat Sieloff and Eric Roy all shopping together. Kanzig is a monster. I'm 6'5" 210 lbs and felt small when he walked by.

A friend of mine met Vernon when he was still with the Wranglers back in the early 80s and said he was a prick even then.

It was always funny when the Flames would go through security during Dion's first seaon. All the other guys used to constantly crack jokes at his expense.

Most of the players are pretty nice. I find the majority of them are fairly quiet people. Here are some benign observations that have stuck with me in past dealings:
Phaneuf: Great with kids. Talks really loud. Hated, hated, hated losing... but never took it out on teammates. Not that I saw anyway.
Kipper: Absolutely hilarious. Really animated when speaking in Finnish. Wore equipment well under the maximum allowed.
Bouwmeester: This is what I heard when I asked him how he's doing: " "
Conroy: Visibly has to force himself to not smile after a loss.
Darryl: When it comes to his son Chris and what you see/read... it's the real deal.
McElhinney: When he was hurt (or maybe he was 3rd stringing it, I can't remember)... he would walk around the concourse for a bit during the game and no one ever noticed.
Karlsson: Loved shooting snot rockets onto the ice during practice. Horrifying.

Current Flames I know Hartley and have met Roger Millions. Roger was a very nice guy and we chatted it up for at least 15 minutes.
Players, no current ones (although older ones I've met quite a few).
