Ideally Jankowski would turn into the franchise 2nd line center and Dal Colle could be that big winger to complement some of the smaller wingers in the prospect base. Like I said I'm happy either way but my only fear would be that Monahan/Draisaitl 1-2 punch would be a little on the slow side.
I think we're in agreement. The speedy wingers I'm speaking of are necessary on our top 2 lines if we have 2 average speed centers (Monahan/Draisaitl).

I went with Dal Colle. I would be happy with either but want a big strong power forward winger. If he or Johnny can slide to the right we could have our top line drafted.

Draisaitl would be great but not sure about having our top 2 centers both having questionable foot speed. Having 2 6'2 200+lb centers is enticing as well

I'm a big Ehlers fan too. I wonder if he'll end up at center next year in the same way Halifax moved Drouin from left wing to center this year. When I saw Ehlers play in Charlottetown he lined up at right wing about as often as he did on the left side. I suspect his high hockey IQ means he could play any forward position. And that speed....

I really wish the Flames could pry #5 from the Isles while keeping #4.

#4 - Reinhart/Bennett/Draisaitl
#5 - Ehlers/Dal Colle

Damn that'd be awesome.

If we traded the Isles, it would have to be our 2015 1st... And if we were trading our 2015 1st to them, I'd rather we get Griffin Reinhart.

Plenty of sources say Dal Colle translates to the NHL as a centre. FC has him listed as C in their draft guide. Worth noting, especially if your argument is based on him being a LWer. Draisaitl played a bit of wing this season as well.

Dal Colle projects as a power forward once he fills out. A top end power forward with a sniper's instinct.

Lots of 'ifs', but I think Dal Colle would provide the 'trigger man' which our prospect pool sorely lacks. I really, really hope that this is not a decision that needs to be made!

Just makes us really hope one of the top 3 players drop to #4, because this poll is probably the toughest one, even though it looks like a landslide in favor of Draisaitl.

Does he have the jam to be a powerforward? I don't think he's a fearful player from what I"ve read, but I've certainly seen comments that suggests he steers away from contact or something to that effect.

Draisaitl. Overall talent level seems pretty even so I'll take the guy who didn't get moved off of the premium position in junior and looked good playing against men in the WC.

Yea, Dal Colle definitely doesn't look like a power forward. Big and uses his size to protect the puck, but not really a physical player and I don't think he fights either.

I think the book is that he doesn't shy away from physical contact initiated from the opposition but doesn't seek it out to impose himself.

I voted Draisaitl, simply because he is a C, but I am pretty indifferent between these two.

I think I would prefer Ehlers (if we are looking for pure skill) or Ritchie (adding real size and grit to the top 6) over either one of them.

I think the idea of Ritchie on the right side with Gaudreau is really appealing.

Also, good chance we can get another C next year that is at least as good - probably better - than Draisaitl

It's easier to put Draisaitl on the wing than putting Dal Colle back at center.

Dal Colle. I think his upside is greater.

IMHO, I don't think it will be either of them. If it's not Ekblad, Bennett or Reinhart it's someone else.

I wish Trelelyan was in control. No one would ever say no to his demands.

After this weekend when the combine is over. I think more than a few tidbits of info will sway some votes throughout these polls. I can't wait for all the material to be released.

With things being pretty much equal you take the center, so it should be Draisaitl. Dal Colle playing center in midget doesn't excite me much.

For the record I don't think the Oilers pass on Draisaitl if available. More and more I get the feeling Ekblad will drop to us. I checked the mock drafts for the 2013 draft and I didn't see anyone predicting Jones would drop pass the 2nd spot in the draft, but he ended up drafted at the 4th spot.

Voted Drasaitl, but wouldn't be upset with Dal Colley. Drasaitl has the size and from what I've read, elite passing/playmaking. I really think it's important we get some excellent centre depth moving forward. Load up on D in the second round. As someone else posted, if Dal Colley was a right hand shot RW, that might sway me somewhat

Would Jeff Carter be a fair Dal Colle comparable?
