I had German cockroaches in my apartment for years, there was nothing I could do to get rid of them. The owners of the building refused to do anything, since I assume the whole neighborhood was infested. So glad I got the hell out of that place, and will never live in Millwoods again. I'd advise people to never move their in general, it's one of the worst places in Edmonton (which is saying a lot).

I got so sick from Home Food Inn about 6 years ago, and I totally knew it was going to happen. We went there for a work lunch and I just knew it wasn't going to end well. That place was nasty.

You guys want to talk bad?
How about the fact that I had to MC a wedding reception there just last year.
I was against it from the beginning, thought the whole idea of it was sketch (but of course assumed that price was a huge factor in that decision)...but hey it wasn't my wedding reception?
Just read about this yesterday, horrified, not surprised, but horrified. The amount of people eating at that venue that night, for a wedding reception no less, was a traditional Chinese 10-course dinner.
*shudders*

Well this is all the evidence I need. I must be invincible. I used to eat at Foody Goody all the time until it shut down (why was that, anyway?), and since then, I've eaten at Home Food Inn dozens of times. Haven't eaten there lately, but judging by the article, I've definitely eaten there during cockroach infestation.

"Foody" is like how stuff is advertised as "Chocolatey" (contains no real chocolate).

I am in same boat. I are there at least twice per year and never gotten sick. Even my wife who normally catches everything from sketchy food places didn't get sick

LOL - living in Singapore it's harder to find a restaurant WITHOUT cockroaches.

Hey everyone!! What's up? Just your friendly neighborhood German cockroach here. I'm actually from Africa and sometimes get confused with those Asian guys, but it's always just a silly mix up. The wonderful people of Germany refer to me as the Russian cockroach which I'm sure is a tribute to those glorious years of historical friendship we've shared, so cute!
I like starches like rice or dumplings, sugary treats like fortune cookies or delicious Chinese food sauces, and greasy meats for that protein boost like...virtually everything in a typical Calgary Chinese food restaurant! So delicious, yum!
Sometimes I have to go (doesn't everyone though?) and if I happen to be cruising around your plates or cutlery or food, sorry! Nature calls amirite?!? I don't mean to spread diseases and illness, but hey those guys need hosts too, I mean ever watched Lion King? Circle of Life and all that!
Well gotta go hide away and ensure you can't eliminate me. Just wanted to introduce myself because thanks to corner cutting restaurant owners that don't respect basic food regulations, I'll be around for awhile! Later guys, #### on your food soon!

You guys know about this site right?
http://www12.albertahealthservices.c...h-inspections/
I actually have it as an icon bookmark on my phone. I suggest you do the same.
I ate there once for kid's birthday party and I knew that place was dirty the minute I walked in. First thing I check anywhere I go is the washroom. If it's dirty can you imagine how dirty the kitchen is where the customers can't see? Thank god I didn't sick or my kids but I told the wife not to eat there again even if we we're invited.
I used to work in the food service industry and I took of of pride when it came to food safety. I can't stand dirty restaurants. I know of many the dirty ones here in town and avoid them all.
