If they are both good enough to play top 6 then yes.
Burke had Kadri and Bozak as his top two centres and neither of them are overly big or strong.
Burke doesn't require everyone in the roster to be. 6'4 220, if Sven and Gaudreau are playing well he will add size/toughness elsewhere.

On a team that has never picked this high before I think you have to keep the pick. It just means that much more. If you're Edmonton and this is a yearly occurrence then it makes sense but for us this would be too special.

If we win #1: Ekblad
If we stay at #4/5 - Dal Colle
Just what I am seeing happening with what Burke will want.

#1-Ekblad #4-Bennett, Reinhart
I see the Oilers taking Draistitl if Ekblad is gone by #2 which I think he will.

If we were to win the lottery, I think the only way the pick is traded is a)It doesn't move us out of the top 5 and b) You know that Ekblad will be available.
I don't think either of those is possible so I would rather just take Ekblad. It sounds like that's who Burke really wants, but is ok with the forwards too if he has to choose one of those.

If Burke is high on Richie and can get the Isles second rounder for moving back one pick, that could be a good deal.

I think the Oilers draft order would be
1. Ekblad
2. Bennett
3. Draisaitl
4. Reinhart

I think that means they are throwing a godfather offer at Nashville

So their pick, Nurse, Yakupov and Gagner (and eat half his salary)?

That would be more interesting to the Preds than the assets I mentioned

Would the Oilers entertain moving their 2015 first+ for Weber?
2014 first, 2015 first and a roster player?

I wish these threads would wait until AFTER the lottery, so that we don't have to attach a big "If" in front of every discussion.
Let's find out where we are first, then explore our options.

I have said it before but if I am Nashville there is no deal without Hall or RNH.
Maybe now that the pick is top 3 I go for 1st, Nurse, Eberle and Yak but even still not sure about that.
Nashville needs a top line forward not secondary guys like Eberle, Yak and Gagner.
Maybe Weber and Fisher for RNH, Nurse, 2014 1st.

In terms of talent... but the preds operate on a budget so I could see them not wanting to eat Eberle + Gagner's salary so they might actually prefer Yakupov.

I wonder if Nashville does not want to trade with Edmonton after getting Dubnyk and noting his "bad habits", worried the whole team is like that?
Edit: Unless it really is too good to turn down...

Maybe I'm crazy, but even if you replaced Eberle with Hall or RNH I don't do that deal. Not necessarily because theyre not good, but because Weber is that calibre player. Anything you get back for him would look underwhelming, especially a package from the Oilers. If I'm the coach there and Poile comes in and tells me that he's traded Weber for a group of Oilers, I don't even need to know the names to be pissed.

In a heartbeat. It would likely allow us to pick up ekblad with their pick and a high end forward with ours. Cornerstones in all the right places.
Even if we buffalo picks ekblad we get an upgrade in quality from Sven to either Sam at the cost of a couple of 2nds.
And I like Sven.

I really like Baertschi and my view of him hasn't changed.
But Gaudreau has a higher ceiling and I am completely convinced at this point that he is the real deal and is going to be a star.
I don't think there's any question that, if you only keep one, it's Gaudreau.
But I also agree that there is room for both.
