I was thinking the same thing... seemed like lots of good things coming together lately. Baertschi playing great in the AHL, gaudreau looking like every bit the player we heard about, Monahan having an awesome rookie season... Luck may have that lottery go our way.

So, the Flames definitely did well this year:
Gaudreau, Monahan, Hudler, Backlund, Ramo, Giordano, Brodie all talked to about going. Ramo no confirmation and Brodie and Giordano declined due to injuries.
I'd call that a damn impressive roster.

USA hockey released a 15 man roster for the WC and Gaudreau's name is not on it
