This is the best type of hockey. High pressure, high pace, and very aggressive. Especially since the zebras put their whistles away.

does that matter if the effort was first to kick it into the net? Can you kick it on goal as long as you don't score?

Why isn't kicking the puck in allowed, again? You can kick it in any other aspect of the game. Why is your foot not valid in terms of goals?

Because, it's hockey, not soccer.
Don't want a bunch of guys flailing their skate blades around when a goalie is down trying to cover a puck either.

because that's barbaric. Why invent the stick if you aren't going to use it?

Yeah, if you kick it on net then get a stick on the puck before crossing the line its fine.

Well that goes against the GM's in their meetings and their interest in allowing kicked in goals in the future.

Sportsnet evidently learned how to mic up an arena for tonight's game and the game actually seems somewhat exciting.

Definitely a kick. That signal the ref did for a kicked puck was hilarious. I don't think grabbing the net and repeatedly lifting your leg in a kicking motion is an official referee signal.

Only if you keep your skate on the ice. That would still take care of the safety factor.
