Jumping into 4th overall does not mollify me over a crushing loss to a crap Toronto team....at all

I don't know if you can call a 1 goal differential crushing.

Cammalleri - Backlund - Byron
Glencross - Monahan - Colborne
Hudler - Stajan - McGrattan
BVB - Bouma - Westgarth
Gio - Brodie
Russell - Butler
Billins - Wotherspoon
That line-up should have been blown away by a credible, hungry NHL team.
Leafs should be embarrassed at the scoreline.

There will be new additions to the lineup...Flames aren't just gonna lose Cammy and put out the same lineup minus him.
rookies, free agents, trades, next years team will be very different if you ask me

Ugly game. Man, the leafs are no good.
All this win does is string their fans along a little while longer. Disappointed to be the slump busters though...

Glencross has been pretty darn good since coming back
Goal called back today but no sign at all of any attitude issues.

I think the world of Brodie, but man has he been bad the last 2 games. He's been playing Dion style of D. Not a great show with all his family there.
Billins was struggling too, but I never want to judge a new player too quickly. They need some time to get comfortable.
Last game of the year I really wanted them to win. Ah well, good to see us in the 4 slot for the draft.

Attitude issues. Got in Glencross's face.
19:53 TOR - Dion Phaneuf Cross-checking
20:00 TOR - Dion Phaneuf Unsportsmanlike conduct
20:00 TOR - Dion Phaneuf Misconduct (10 min)

Well from the moment we gained the zone he was dishing out the crosschecks, I guess the ref had enough at some point.

Losing sucks, but every team that should have won tonight did so I'm happy with that.

At this point, the only thing that matters is draft position. We've given it a great run this season, and I've not been this proud of a Flames team since 2004. But the draft pick is now the priority.
If we could go 1-6 and still knock the Canucks out in the last game of the year, that would be ideal.

Painful to lose to to Leafs, softened very slightly by improved draft positioning.
I actually thought Brodie was a lot better overall than last game, minus a few bad decisions and some rough luck. The pass to Stajan was beautiful and he was back to his usual self in terms of breakouts and offensive zone entries.
Great work by Colborne on the Russell goal (which was a laser). That is exactly the type of play that shows just how far his game has come since the start of the season. Using his size to protect the puck, great patience and great vision. I salivate at the though of him playing with (hopefully) Monahan and Gaudreau, at least in training camp next year.
Toronto is no good. For long stretches of the game, the Flames looked disjointed and even disinterested. You would think that a team up against the wall would be able to jump on that and dominate the game, but I'd say the Flames had the edge in play. Don't know what's going to happen this summer, but somebody (Nonis, Carlyle, Phaneuf, ?) has to take the fall for the performance of this team.

Mailing it in already? Flames aren't even mathematically eliminated yet!
Oops! May have jumped the gun there. Carry on.

I pull the chute early, what can I say. It's why I only make $130K a year instead of the CP median of 150.

There was also the long-forgotten sound of Miley Cyrus blasting from the home dressing room at Air Canada Centre – to say nothing of two badly needed points added to the standings. But even as the Leafs took a few moments to savour the end of a long losing streak, there wasn’t exactly the wave of relief you might have expected.

Oh my. The Leafs' pump up music after a win is Miley Cyrus? Wow.

Sitting 4th is nice, but I feel Burke will draft Ritchie regardless of our position; given he's still on the board.
