I was a bit enamoured with his stats carrying over to the Rags as well, but they are and always will be a vaunted group of veterans with nobody who purely specializes in one single thing. The closest they've had (besides Lundquist), was Gaborik, and he was always hurt. Nash plays a wayyy different game than St.Louis and although they've player together, I don't think Richards is what he was.

In the end, I'm glad the Rangers are the Rangers. They seem to be pretty much the same team since '94. Mediocre and picking a middling prospect. Keep it going Blue shirts. NY is an awesome city and you have an awesome history. And you have great veterans. I'll bet they have a grand time leading the young guys/new acquisitions around the city.

Keep it up!!

Really not a great performance from the Flames... a rare game this year where the goalie steals it for them.

Even then he wasn't that bad. He was showing promise back then.

Dude, Theo was unreal during his 2nd year with the Rags.

62GP 30G 44A 74PTS

His first and third years there weren't as good, but still he wasn't a bust by any means.

I think we kept the right goalie (Ramo/Berra), Ramo is slowly becoming a middle of the road starting goalie, stats-wise. Definitely the first to steal us a handful of games since Kipper. Ortio to me has the that same potential. So I like our situation in goal. Although Berra has a few years in COL to prove us wrong, working with a world class ex goaltender.

Our D is getting there, despite not bringing in any big blue chip studs out of the draft, although you can almost start to stay that about Brodie. Wotherspoon could top out as a 3-4 guy, with Russell being young enough to be the other guy on that pairing. Just hope that Sieloff can blossom into something in the next year, we could use a heavy hitter back there. But it's impressive how well it's come along, seeing as at the beginning of the year we looked to have probably one bottom three defences in the league.

Quote of the night at my household:

Wife: "Joe Colborne? Looks like he wants to be known as Joe Goalborne!"

…and a nickname was born.

I love this team so fataing much. Even when my wife asked about the fact we are rebuilding said, "so why would they bother changing any players on this team for next year? Obviously they're quite good."

Obvious point is obvious.

Most importantly, we are still in the mix for the wild card playoff spot.....
