Oil are two games back of the Flames for last in the West. Anything can happen. Still want the Flames to hand those special builders their own arse holes tonight.

True enough. Calgary has 2 games in hand as well. Calgary just has to much pride and work ethic. I guess I'm just tempering down my hope of first overall but I really believe that Flames will be realisticly picking 3rd unless their is a lotto win. Buffalo is on a fire sale . flames and oil are not on such a sales spree. Some veterans might get shipped of but nothing that can't be replaced via trade or call ups.

Looks like Eakins doesn't like Hartley's "pretend" methods of motivating players, he's sticking to what they've been doing.

Interesting that Eakins also says:
"I don't care how you want to break up the season, it doesn't matter, your goal is to win every game. To break it into a 10 game segment or a 2, or whatever, for me it's one game segments."
Then a few seconds later Gagner says:
"There's different ways to approach every game, you can go in segments, which we try to do and you try to win every segment."

Of course the players aren't going to all necessarily have the same game plan as Eakins. You think he just stands there and tells them what to do all day? Smh. Pretty sure he applies the mantra "treat people like adults and they will act like adults."

At least no Craptors game to wait for what seems forever! Mind you I have TSN2, but still, that was absolutely awful compared to this.
Yeah, it's amazing how many Leaf games go to OT Sat nights, especially before Flames games.

I hoped for us to tank last season so we could have MacKinnon or Drouin. When I saw Colorado win the draft lotto I realized its not 100% to pick where you finish with the new draft lottery rules. I like the new rules. Very likely #2 and #3 will move and the worst team in the league wont pick 1st so we dont have much to tank for imo.
