Sounds like fun. Haven't moved on from mutual funds personally yet due to inexperience/laziness, good chance to learn.
Hopefully the web interface looks fairly real so I can see the look of horror when I tell my girlfriend I've lost almost a million dollars I'd kept secret that was left to me.
Its actually a pretty neat setup. Lots of options and features that you can use. You'll like it.
What do people think about the dollar amount? I would be okay with $250,000 today because it is more real life than a million bucks. I know, most people don't even have $250,000 to invest, but going down below $100,000 would kinda defeat the purchase of being able to experiment around with stuff.
Any amount is fine with me, obviously the lower it is the more fees and such with affect the game. Not necessarily a bad thing, just depends on how you want the game to go.
If nobody disagrees with the $250,000 limit, I'll set up the game tonight.
All the other settings we can change afterwards.
I'd be for lowering the limit from $1. There are quite a few stocks in the $0.30-$1 range that I'd throw in my portfolio and it'd be good to practice with them here.
