In war it's not dishonourable to outflank and attack your enemy from the side or behind. You find their weakest side and attack it.

Hartley managed to unhinge Torts and get him preoccupied. His team played the game the way Flames wanted them to. He exploited Torts poor self control and exploited Vancouver's desire to prove how tough they are. That might be the best bit of coaching I've seen from the Flames in the last 25 years.

You realize the Flames lost the game right? I find that statement an insult to Darryl Sutter.

Just pointing out your hypocrisy. You were the one tossing "coward" labels around.

Lost by the slightest of margins. It almost worked. Maybe not "the best bit of coaching in the last 25 years" but I would say it's the best bit of coaching I've seen from Hartley.

The reason why Tortorella lost his mind is because he knew that he was out coached. He had to react to Hartleys' move and he didn't like any of his options. The game was played by Hartleys' terms.

When the other teams coach tries to get into the Flames' dressing room in a fit of crazy rage that is a pretty good indictor that the Flames did something right.

I'm glad that the Canucks fans are saying that this is all Hartleys' fault. They are absolutely right. And I love it.

No, you really weren't. But i pointed out yours. Hartley is a coward because he picked a fight and then hid behind a wall when it went down. A leader doesn't do that, a coward does. How can any person in the Flames organization take a guy like that seriously. What player is going take a hit to make a play, or use their body to block a shot for this guy. The gif of Malarchuk sticking up for his players is awesome. That inspires confidence. People respond to that. Players respond to that. The gif of Hartley is just depressing. It shows he brings nothing to this team.

Since when is standing in the dressing room after the period is over 'hiding behind a wall'?

In what world would a coach come out and fight the other coach?

I want Hartley gone and think he is a bad coach but these posts are flat out crazy.

What fight did Hartley pick? Did you see him ranting and raving on the bench all period? Did he rush to the opposing team's locker room to start a confrontation?

Looks like your true colours are showing, didn't know there was a 'Nucks fan playing make believe in our midst.

Last year when he had a full squad of NHLers (a team getting paid to the top of the cap) he didn't get squat for effort or results out of them. They finished the worst in Flames history.

When Hartley is let go in June does anyone think he will ever coach in the NHL again?
Interesting. I was unaware it was 1997 or 1998, you know, both years that the Flames had worse records than last year.

I don't know. That shot looks like O'Brien was trying to move him back into the room before he could get more involved in the scrum.

Hey we already got rid of Feaster so i cant be greedy. Hartley's turn is coming though. The game has truly outgrown him. If he somehow escapes this year i will be sad, but no way he makes it past next season.
