What the heck is Garrett going on about? "There's no arm in the air....." (replay shows ref with arm in the air) "Oh, okay, it's in the air now".
Wha? It was always up. What a goof.
His while schtick every game is to talk about how good the Canucks are, how much the Refs miss calls against the other team and butch about missed calls
Garrett is the absolute worst. I mean the worst. Every fan base has their fans that have that annoying "Refs are against us" persecuted complex. Garrett shows them how is done. I get so infuriated watching Canucks Broadcasts. Shorthouse is actually quite good, and impartial where he should be.
Good call on Shorthouse, he just shut Garrett up. Exchange went like this after Garrett complained for a 2nd time after the Weise goalie interference penalty.
Garrett: you can see Quick tried to sell the call, Weise barely touches him and it isn't until Quick sprawls out that the arm goes up later
Shorthouse: not to pick a fight John, but.....that was a penalty, wouldn't you say?
Garrett: ..... ........ .........yes it was.
Was hilarious.

Nice OOT, lots of slamming the Canucks. Next Kings-Canucks game is April 5, that should be a good one. The Canucks fired 28 shots at Quick who gets the SHUTOUT. Look at the penalty summary, misconducts galore. It's rare to see a player get 2 ten minute misconducts. Brown with the GWG 24 seconds into the 3rd period. The 1-0 reg win puts the Kings 4 points up on the Canucks, in a tie with the Avs, and just a point back of the Sharks. The Jets did a 5-1 road kill over the Coyotes. The honeymoon for the new coach went well, Byfuglien with 2 points. The score would've been higher for the Jets, but Mike Smith did well facing 38 shots. The BJs are getting up there in the standings as they win their 4th in a row, 3-2 in reg time over Tampa. The BJs were down 2-1 heading into the 3rd period and scored 2 PPGs, the GWG by Letestu with 2:38 left in reg time. Horton scored and he seems to be playing well in Columbus so far. The win puts the BJs just 2 points back of the last 2 playoff spots.
Presumably everyone has center ice so I don't know why you guys are even subjecting yourselves to Garrett and his musings on peanut butter and ketchup sandwiches or whatever.
The funny thing is that I can't figure out what EITHER of the ten minute misconducts to Kassian are for. At one point Willie Mitchell got one as well and I couldn't figure out what that was for either. Brown was doing his usual diving thing but Quick's was the one that really takes the cake... http://instagram.com/p/jI1YC-A5aS/ The Kings announcers called him out on that one.
Both called penalties, neither dive called. And yet, worst of all, they somehow manage to miss a blatant slew foot at center ice right in the middle of the play?
HOW DO YOU NOT CALL THAT?! For me that gets 3 games.
The refs were easily the worst skaters on the ice in that one.

Interesting comment from Kesler. I thought the Canucks played physical and played pretty well, but dominated? Can't say I agree.
Quote:
“A lot of guys stuck up for each other. We outbattled and outhit and we dominated them and they got a lucky bounce on a 3-on-1 (goal). That was a big statement by our team. In the past that team tries to bully you. I felt we were good all game.”
0-4 vs the Kings this season, Ryan, but really nice moral victory after being shutout.
Who scored the winning goal?
Brown....the focus of your animosity.
Really bothered him.
I think Kesler actually likes Brown. Remember that Brown is the one who hurt Luongo last meeting and was going to have to answer the bell at some point. Kesler did him a favour
Slightly OT, but after reading all the comments in this thread I figured it would be worth my time to watch the highlights on NHL.com. For some reason they start with LA on the 7 minute PP, and don't once show any of the instances leading up to it. They also don't include the Weise slewfoot, or practically anything else you guys mentioned as major incidences in this game. I've noticed this in the past as well that they tend to gloss over a seemingly large number of events in their highlights that generate a ton of discussion on various message boards, and even in the media.
Ended up watching the highlights on TSN and they included everything.
